AlphaBravo
Hey there, I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong place but I couldnt figure out where to put it.. I am a helper at a Reading Explorer Scout group and I'm trying to sort them out to do a cooking over fires night. We would like to get them to skin (maybe gut, if its possible) and cook some rabbits (about 5..). I'm not sure where I could get some from, so I though I would ask here if anyone is kind enough to donate some (or for a small fee depending on what it is..) The cooking night isnt for a couple of weeks (I think..) Thanks. Edited June 8, 2010 by AlphaBravo
badshot
My business partner is leader of the local scout group, so I supply him with the rabbits for that. Only thing I will say is that head shot with .22subs is best, purely because the hmr headshot can be so messy. There is no benefit from putting the kids off before you start. If someone can supply you with fresh ( that day) shot then gutting would be ok. If they are shot prior to that then it would be best if they supply them ready gutted but leave you to do the skinning. It is nice to be able to educate the next generation about food and it's origins a bit. ATB Badshot
