scrob
Can anyone tell me with absolutely certainty the legalities of using a larsen trap for magpies in Northern Ireland? I know they are legal but I also have heard I need a licence. I've found this online - do I just need to print it off or do I need to apply for one specific to me? http://www.ni-environment.gov.uk/wildlicen...tpg32009pdf.pdf I live in Belfast for work during the week and I am absolutely tortured with magpies making a racket outside my bedroom window!! They are also causing havoc with the small song birds in my garden, and I would like to wipe a few out using a larsen trap. A friend uses one regularly so I will have no problem borrowing a decoy bird from his catches. However due to the built up area in Belfast, I want to make sure I am absolutely 100% on the right side of the law before I start using one, in case any do-good neighbours call the authorities Thanks!
