harrywatson
Hi there, I have just purchased a crossman phantom .22 air rifle, I primarily aim to use it for shooting pigeons in my garden. I have a large garden and neighbours either side feed the pigeons and are allways on either of their roof's they tend to not stay for long in our garden. Is there a way of attracting them into our garden, we have tried leaving stale bread etc out, but its not fantastic. Do the decoys work well? Should I aim for head shots or will a chest shot get it? Is there a certain pellet you can reccomend? Thanks very much
kyska
Some people won't advocate baiting birds into a garden, whats your reason to shoot them? that aside I tend to use head and neck shots for pigeon if possible, although chests shots can be used, but I use FAC air. Pellets are very much rifle dependent, try a variety, dome headed IMO, AA fields/JSB exact are worth a try to start with.
