luis1987
not posted for a long time,, so thought i'd have a bash. Had a couple of good bags with the gaffer, 96 and 70 summat. We have decided to invest in a magnet, so went out sunday gone to try it out. There were no pigeons around, we travelled 20 miles around various farms, and no activity what so ever. setting up at the original field, we set up. Absolutly nothing interested in the deocys, so stood in a clearing in a wood, and i had the BEST shots i have ever had. ok, i'm a novice, but every shot was a high or fast bird, or both. soo much good sport, incl working the new dog. So, all in all, i'm happy! Just one question, how do you pro's set magnets up. We tried a normal pattern, with the magnet closest, at around 15 - 20 yards out. My gaffer is a brill shot, and amazing with field craft, but has never used a magnet. any tips would be gratefully recieved hope this weekend brings some sport. happy shooting guys. I used these patterns when I first started and you can tweak them as necassery. Dont be affraid to change if you arent having any interest though as you can only make things better for yourself. The pigeons need to be already interested in the area though to have a chance. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/html/section...n-shooting.html Good luck with the weekend
