Torkel
Hello. I’m from Norway and have just ordered a Hushpower 20g. I wonder if anyone use plastic wadded cartridges for this gun. I can see they recomend to use felt wad, and if you are using plastic wadded cartridges you have to check the barrel after every shot. Can the hushpower be damaged in any way not using felt wad? In Norway we are not allowed to use cartridges containing lead. Therefore it's not possible for me to get subsonic cartridges for this gun. Is the reduction in noise very different for subsonic compared to standard cartridges? Really hope someone can tell me a little about this. Have a nice day.
NorfolkPoacher
Hello there, i use Fibre Wad (felt) in my 20g hushpower mossberg, i was told that using plastic wads can cause shavings of plastic to clog up the baffles in the silencer. It wont hurt it but would need cleaning out after 10 shots as to not create any kind of obstruction down the barrel. subsonics are quieter then standard ammo. what ever you use it wont damage the barrel it wil just make the practice less safe, im not sure what other ammo you can get in fibre wad, just make sure your gun is "steel Proofed" if your considering it, because Steel will damage a non proofed barrel. hope my rambling helps.
