Ireland's Finest!
I've only been hunting/shooting for just over a year now and altough I've shot pigeons, pheasants, ducks before this was my first ever snipe. I was doing nothing else today so I decided to go to the local Bog and try yet again to shoot a snipe I've been trying a while now(Dunno if many of you have tried shooting them but there near impossible to hit, constant twisting and turning in flight ) I headed off with my 9 month old springer "Finn" and after a few got up one was finally in range it flew to my right I turned and bang down he came, I was delighted, I dont think the dog even seen the snipe but I pointed him in the right direction and 5 min later he brought him back(His first live bird retreive as well). I'm just over the moon, may not be the biggest or widely sought after bird but it made my day[ url="http://my.picresize.com/S9JM475ZVO"]Visit My Website[/url] Edited September 20, 2010 by Ireland's Finest! Stokoe
It is where the name "Sniper" is derived from. A man able to shoot a Snipe was deemed to be an exceptionally good shot! So you should be very proud! Well done mate
