M1ke
I have for sale an immaculate Green Rayburn Heatranger 480K. There are no chips or rust on the body, and it has been regularly serviced. It is still being used but will be shortly decommissioned as we have rearranged the kitchen and it is now surplus to requirements. It cooks, heats domestic water and provides central heating, with an output of 80,000 Btu/hr (23.4 kW). It will heat your whole house with up to 16 radiators!! It is a conventional flue model. Unlike other earlier Rayburns, this model does not have to be run continually, and is very controllable. See below. It burns very efficiently, and is an economical heating device. This Rayburn is compatible with the standard kitchen dimensions. Can be turned on and off for maximum controllability Specifications: Fuel Description: Commercial Kerosene to BS2869, Class C2 Flue Outlet Details: 6" / 150mm Electrical Supply: Yes Boiler Present: Yes Boiler Output to Water (max): 23.4kW/ 80,000 Btu Boiler Central Heating Capacity (Radiators): 16 of average size Height mm 1355 Width mm 905 Depth mm 582 Flue type: conventional, 6", 150mm Twin, polished insulating lids cover a single cast iron hotplate. Both ovens are manufactured from cast-iron, therefore the lower one can be used as a simmering oven, when the cooker is up to full temperature. The lower oven runs at half the temperature of the upper oven. 'The thermostat controls are accessed through a door in the front-panel. Two independently controlled oil burners are provided, one solely supplying the heat for cooking operations, the other for heating and hot-water requirements. Cooker temperature control is by means of an electric thermostat, controlling a solenoid valve on the burner, which shuts down completely, when the desired temperature is reached. Unlike earlier Rayburns, this model can be either continuously burning, OR, alternatively be timed and programmed by the integral controls. THIS IMPROVES THE ECONOMY OF WHAT IS AN ALREADY HIGHLY EFFICIENT COOKER / CENTRAL HEATING BOILER. The low water content boiler suitable for connection to fully pumped water systems only, either open vented or sealed. It can operate in conjunction with a wide range of external controls, such as cylinder or room thermostats, zone valves and programmer. These units cost roughly £6500 and there is currently one for sale on ebay for £2100. Bargain £1000. Must be collected or arrange for it to be collected from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
