Anyone else having problems getting their money?

 

 

I took 250 pigeons into him 5 weeks ago. he wasn't there but was told to put them in chiller with name on them.

 

I have phoned him a half dozen times and he has my name, address and bird numbers but every time i ask if he has sent the cheque out he says he will do it straight away. i phone last Friday and he said the same thing and then i phoned wednesday again, he told me he had sent it Sunday/Monday. still no payment. only reason i havent been over to get my money is its £10 for fuel there and back.

 

I will not use him again. i will chuck them in the bin rather than get dicked around.

It makes ya wonder mate, your lucky to get 20 or 30p per bird(or a couple of cartridge from some) you go out wit the missus for a nice meal and there it is on the menu Starter- Pigeon Breast £5.50 and your struggling to get paid!! Sod it eat what ya need and give the rest to friend and family theres more satisfaction in that me thinks!!!!!!!!!!!!

28p a bird pays for a 2:1 shot count for me. so worth a trip when freezer is full but lean times im not going to run there and take a chance he will be there.

 

i dont like pigeon. its like eating rat but with wings. not for me thanks.

 

i will phone again tomorrow then if no joy i will have to pay a visit i think. i will not be recommending him to anyone else from now on, only take 2 minutes to write a cheque so he must have time to do that.

I have used Roger for over 10 years now never had a problem but I live locally I collect my money ever 3 months just give him a list .

Mr Hicks likes to play this game with everyone now and again , best bet is to split game into smaller quantitys and sell to direct to decent local butchers.

Thats a bit unfair IMO he also has to put up with alot of shooters dumping green birds etc then expecting to get paid for them.

 

Also you cant expect to drop them off anytime and expect him to be there if you want to get paid I would reckon the best bet is to arrange a time eg daytime not at 730 at night.

 

Also I cant find a butcher who want 200 birds and 100 rabbits in one go.
