dolphin
hi there got this idea off my mate when shooting yesterday as he only has geese fuds he thought he would try and get some movement from them i have drawn a small diagram to try and explain the process better if you cut through the foot of your decoy where the pink line is remember to leave enough at the top to still clip to your belt if thats how you carry them then drill 2 holes where blue dots are you will now need a small block of wood bolted either side of the foot then drill a hole through the centre from top to bottom which will hold a thin metal rod my mate used rods from silosock pigeons but if the ground you shoot over is soft you might want something slightly bigger this really does make them bounce about in a breeze dont see why this also cant work on any fuds wish i had a photo to explain this better atb dolphin ps if you want to try this and cant understand the process pm me and i will try to help
humperdingle
I did something similar but didn't cut anything - Just cable tie on some thin carbon fibre rod (or similar) as a stake. Cover the red stake in mud to disguise it, or paint it matt brown.
