kippylawkid
Had an excellent day on Saturday with pal John. He set up early on bean stubble that had built up nicely all week. Little or no wind but when he got the whirly going the birds really went for the pattern. I know the whirly can sometimes frighten more than it attracts but this was a day when it made the difference. Personally I reckon if birds are over shot and chased about in one area they become shy of magnets and flappers. On Sat they decoyed text book - a lot of yound birds too, so that might account for them throwing themselves on the whirly. We ended up with 108, despite some spells of ordinary shooting from both of us. What I was surprised at was the birds hitting the field in big packs of 50+ Anyone else got them flocked up yet?
