DuncanH
Sorry to drag up an old thread. I phone south yorkshire F.A.D the other day to ask if I would still require an interview even though I was only applying for the license to buy carts. The guy said there is no law stating that a certificate is needed in order to buy, store or transport carts. Apparently the cartridge dealers ask for one on grounds of safety and liability I guess. Just a heads up for the fellow newbies I always had the understanding that you had to have a license to buy cartridges, but once they have been bought anyone can have them. Anyone have a definitive answer?
rcooke25552
i got my sgc without a cabinet. i just had a covering letter saying that before i get a gun i must show adequate security measures and that i am strongly advised not to store a shotgun at my house before hand. when it came to getting a gun, i got a cabinet, rang them up and they came and checked it. all cleared and got gun the week after. Anyone have a definitive answer? I believe this is the case.. A good friend of mine who is an RFD and gun shop owner told me this.
