They both dissapeared and I thought the lurcher may have gone after something. I found them down by the river enjoying a swim together! The pup was right out in the middle. Never even been in a puddle before. No worries about introducing water then! I know she is too young for long walks, swimming etc so wont make a habit of it. activeviii Posted October 23, 2010 Report Share Posted October 23, 2010 i didnt think swimming was a problem, just the running and prating around on hard ground that pounds the bones and cartilage. the body is supported in the water so no pressure is put on these delicate areas. i have a mate who's dog had a knee opp, wasnt allowed to walk any distance for weeks but was put in the pool as soon as the scab had formed.
