1898 Lee Metford - converted to .410 Shotgun

Recommended Posts

For sale, a Lee Metford .303 converted to a .410.

It's in ok condition considering its age (Made in 1898).

Good bore, some external marks towards the end of the barrel, shoots straight as a nail, tightly choked.

This gun has the original single shot plate installed, a breeze to load and fire, light, good training shotgun.

Bolt, safety, mechanics etc all work perfectly, no rust anywhere.

SGC required, transfer to RFD possible, gun can be viewed at Field and Stream of Ashbourne, Derbyshire, who have it on their shelf there for me.

£180 or open to offers.

Hi, I'm not sure, it'll be the length of the original Lee Metford rifle I think as the sight post hole is still present!

Are you interested?

chris.

I am interested as i'm looking for a 410 and fancy something different, my problem is i live in south Wales i don't think sending the gun by RFD would be worth it as the cost would make the gun expensive, the other problem is the lenth, my Xtrema2 only just fits in my gun cabinet(old) and this gun seems quite long to, I have just looked at the lenths of the Lee Metford mkII rifle and most sites state 49.5 inches so will check tonight againt my Xtrema and go from there....cheers
