UKPoacher
I haved several hundred acres to go at - pigeon decoying, air rifle vermin control and a bit of duck and hare shooting. Never paid cash, but I carry wheat to the feeders, deter trespassers and poachers, help with the general duties a gamekeeper has to do, never take a wage for beating and am on hand at short notice when the farmers give the shooting tenant grief over pest problems. Kenyan
I have and do pay for game shooting rights and stalking rights. I also get some for nowt more than a thankyou at Chrismas and a helping hand when they are busy. I have never paid for vermin shooting although I know a few that do and the number is increasing. One advantage of paying for your sport is you know that some door knocker is not going to get access simply by turning up and banging on the farmers back door. There's a lot of lads that happily do that for their pigeon shooting and I see nowt wrong with it.
