Peter_O
NOW SOLD Sandwell Field Sports-Tuned HW80 / 95 Hybrid in .177 & extras This was originally an HW80k in 22. Tony at Sandwell Field Sports tuned it and converted it into a .177 by adding the barrel from an HW95. It's a powerful and accurate gun with a smooth action. It has an illuminated, parallax-adjustable scope - a Hawke Eclipse IR 3 - 9 x 50 AO - which is in very good condition (bought new less than two months ago). There's also a 16mm Weihrauch silencer. The rifle has been used extensively in the field. The stock bears scratches and one patch where I've sanded a scratch down to the extent that I removed an area of wood stain. I bought the rifle from a bloke who'd converted it for a young kid to use and he'd shortened the stock. He did it very tidily and kept the bit he sawed off. When I bought it I glued & screwed it back on and so there's a visible line where this has been done. The HW95 barrel is in extremely good nick, very good bluing and it bears the inscription 'Mantis' in gold. The original HW80 cylinder is not in as good condition and shows widespread - though not deep - surface deterioration (see pics). Comes with: - Two slips: a rollable Jack Pyke camo one with carabina clip, very handy for the fields & long enough for the rifle plus silencer. Also a padded Sabre bag which will take the unsilenced rifle only. Both slips have had small repairs and have seen use in muddy fields. - The original iron sights from the HW80 (the 95 barrel does not have the grooves to take the end sight). - A spare set of high mounts. - Two extra bikini lens covers in addition to the Hawke ones. - Half a tube of Bluing paste. - 3/4 tin of RWS Superdomes. - Sling swivels & strap I made out of old leather belts and zip ties: not pretty but works. £175 Collected £195 Posted. Collection much preferred (I'm a minute or two from M6 J13 - Stafford) 20 photos HERE Edited November 22, 2010 by Peter_O

Peter_O
Damn. I'm sorry about the problems people have been having with the links here. My fault. But the rifle has been sold now anyway I'm afraid. Thanks for your interest.
