kirky640
well got up at 6am wide eyed and still drunk lol got all the gear loaded into the landrover, then off to the filling station as the landy hates to pass the pumps and loves a drink as much as her owner. anyway we got to the game plots about 8.30am and set up two magnets and 24 decoys (shell type) hide up and sat ddown to a cupa tea all set, well we waited about one hour before the first shots were fired it was fast and slow threwout the day one shot sticks in my mind and those of you who shoot pigeons will have seen this often, pigeon coming sraight up the middle of the decoys fairly high i shot at it and it stops in its tracks and kinda hovers there well often when ive seen this in the past they gather there selfs together and there off, so i let rip with another shot from the second barrel and hit it hard, so hard infact it took the pigeons leg and left breast off altogether i was shocked to say the least at the force that i hit the bird but at least it didnt suffer we shot 30 birds which i think is not bad for this time of year but would have been nice to shoot more but they will be there for another day, oh and as im brain dead i forgot camera never mind next time cheers kirky ps hard hit bird was not waisted and is supper as we speak for a mates ferrets
