Highlander
Natures Son a lot of the advice you've been given here won't work! I've said it before BUT I will say it again...if you're seeing 300/400 'crows' they ain't! They're ROOKS. Some of the advice will work for ROOKS but you're unlikely to catch too many ROOKS if using crow techniques and vice versa. Crows are pretty much all black...like the rugby team  and they're solitary or paired they DO NOT flock. Rooks have a white-ish (actually bald) patch at the base of their beaks, it's unmistakable and they flock together usually in huge numbers. Also if you are a true 'natures son' you'd know that ROOKS don't do that much damage to crops and can be of great benefit to the farmer 'cause they eat a lot of the soil pests. Although I do appreciate that in this particular instance they're probably after the seed left lying but then so should the pigeons be and where are they??? Highlander
So highlander what methods should i be using for rooks? Best rook shooting is on their roosts 'cause they won't leave and you should be able to maximise your cartridge to kill ratio. On a field they are just as likely to leave it alone once you start shooting.
