fortune82
What are the symptoms of kennel cough? My cocker spent all of yesterday on the shoot working fine but this morning has a cough. He still has loads of energy and has just finished a bowl of food. He has been vaccinated against it as well which i have been told is a waste of time.

Try gently rubbing the dogs windpipe, as kennel cough is upper respiratory infection it should invoke a hacking, dry cough. Some dogs do that snorting thing, like they do after drinking loads of water or are about to barf. Vaccines aren't a waste of time, they protect the dog from the most common strains of the virus. Unless he gets really ill, IE not eating or drinking it should clear up after a week or so, but as always, see your vet for expert advise.
