reddeer 40
Sundaynight I was working my last night shift, after my last night I never go to sleep immediatly, so off I went to the field waiting for the first daylight. There was a strong wind blowing & it started to rain. Never mind, put out the mangnet & 24 decoys. It was in an field of cabbage and my hide was in some maize that was still standing there. Had to wait 1 hour, than four birds dropped nicely into yhe pattern, bang, bang and all they went off. I could not believe I missed such easy birds. Another one came in and that one I got, a flock of thirty birds came from behind and turned nice into the pattern, I shot a double out of it. It started to rain more heavely and the birds stayed away. Sometimes a lonely bird came in low under the wind, but not a lot of movement. Stopped at 11:00, picked up 12 birds for 24 shots and was happy to go to bed.
