Hungry Kestrel

Sat for two hours on chopped maize strip. 12 coys out. No shots at all. Got down in the bottom of the hide, out of the wind, to have a coffee. Dogs ears went up. Listened - tap, tap, tap. Then again, tap, tap, tap. Couldn't see anything through the hide - although the dog could. Slowly edged up to look over the net and disturbed a kestrel who was pecking away at one of the shell decoys. Never seen that before although I have known them to swoop in for a closer look.
