njc110381
What a day! Got home early and there were three Magpies in the tree in the garden. Not a problem, nipped upstairs to get the .410 and when I got back out they were still there. Loaded up with a 3" Eley and click..... ******, wait for a bit with the gun pointing at the ground, open it - no strike mark. So, cut a shell open and tried the primer. It went off. Not wanting to bug the neighbours I put some bits of masking tape over the fired primer and gave it a couple more clicks - no strike. The firing indicator is showing cocked and clicking down when I pull the trigger but nothing's happening. I'm thinking firing pin? Is that a simple job, or could it be something else? feaks
Had the same thing happen every now and then with my Baikal. Just make sure the cocking lever is pushed as far forward as possible and then give it a go.
