deny essex
Some interesting points and discussion on this thread, I have often wondered about the validity of some the pictures I have posted on PW, it being a pigeon shooting site, but after studying the response that Greengrass was getting to his superb pictures, I thought I would post a few of mine. I do post them on a photographic site as well, but have to be honest and felt they were better appreciated on good old PW. (nicer crowd here). I have tried to bias it towards wildfowl, but have slipped in a few which the original post has quite correctly pointed out are not really "sporting pictures". will try to be a bit more selective in the posts in the future, and let those nasty people on the photographic site rip the **** out of my other ones I think that gingercoxy has made some reasonable points, I fully understand how someone coming onto this site at the beginning might wonder what we are all about, hopefully he will stay and enjoy the mad, hilarious and informative world of PW doc Never seen any good pics I didnt appreciate on here be it yours doc or anyone elses, yes we all come on pigeon watch as a pigeon site but there are still those that shoot fox, crows, rabbits etc and post pictures that we all accept as part of the country sporting scene and may take some outside interest in. To see contless pictures of shot pigeon without a break would make me more than a little bored even though my passion is pigeon shooting and has been for near 30 years, some of the guys on here are very articulate in writing their experiences on the day and can make for a good understanding and sometimes very amuseing description of their day. Many of us enjoy more about the country and nature than just shooting pigeon or our selected quarry . It may seem to a new person to the site somewhat off the topic title and not quite as expected but the option is there to read around what you dont want to read or see, always plenty of pigeon stuff comming on when theres something to report and plenty in the archives browse.
