JustJon
I was told I'd never get a terrier that would 'fetch'... But the missus insisted on a jack Russell and I wanted to play... Finally got somewhere close! Edited April 27, 2011 by JustJon
pegleg31
Nice dog, no reason why you can't get a JRT to do it all The bloke i shoot with on driven days takes jack russells plus a variety of terrier crosses that show some of the best trained gundogs up on the shoot. He does this on purpose the old .Still he's just got a cocker cross from his sons bitches accidental mating which he's really excited about so atleast he going in the right direction'
JustJon
Thanks peg leg, Unfortunately she doesn't like coming back until she's found her ball, toy, throw, stick etc... No recall power at all! Walks happily off the lead with us though and fetches as above, so I'm happy. Never expected her to be a hunter's dog! Shortly after this we lost the toy in the stream, landed in the water and although she stood on top of it she didn't seem to realise it was there!
