Had to laugh

Firstly i hope Dave don't mind ( as he is pw member) secondly i hope this is the right section.

 

On Saturday gone i offered to take Dave out to his permission as he no longer has transport for a spot of pigeon shooting, which turned out to be crow.

 

anyway if you can imagine two of use in hide Dave was on his stool on my left, and i was on a shooting stick.

Dave was not having much luck and i felt a bit guilty giving the crow a good bashing. So after downing quite a few i said do you want to take this side as i could do with fag break.

 

Well i crouched to have a fag but still kept an eye out and sure enough a crow came in On Davids side, i saw is barrel move so i new he had clocked it and he took his shot.

 

Then another crow came within seconds but this time he had not made a move, and as i did not want to move my head to much i said ' Dave there's another crow'.... no reply or movement was detected in the corner of my eye, so i repeated the statement.

 

As i still did not get a response i turned to my right and Dave was no longer at my side, so i turned more to find Dave on his back like a turtle arms and legs going holding Gun in the air ( barrel skyward)struggling to get himself from a thorn bush.

 

What made it worse for him to get out was he was laughing so much

 

I could not help myself and asked what are you doing back there?

 

Eventually he replied i missed the shooting stick! i thought i was still on my stool.

 

While all this was happening a thought oh stuff it picked my gun up and still had time to nail the crow.

 

Wish i had my camcorder!

 

so we had a great day one way or another getting approx 35-40 crow and 12 pigeon between us.

i say 35 -40 as i actually picked up 30 and some armour plated crow still managed to get away to the nearest tree etc
