shoughton
I picked up my new Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 yesterday - 30" sporter. After testing out on the pattern plate I went for a wander for the dog - and suddenly realised that there was a very active flight line operating where birds was regularly and frequently crossing a two fields, using a large oak as a crossing point. I set myself up underneath it and had shots within a few minutes. Sport carried on for a good 45 minutes with some terrific testing shots. I only had 25 cartridges with me - but managed 18 birds! What a fantastic start with the new gun! I was chuffed to bits when I got home. My lad asked 'so after spending all that monety will you be able to shoot more pigeons with the new gun then?' I threw him the car keys and asked him to go and bring the box in from the boot I shall resist jumping back onto that flightline again in the next few days - but I will be back! I've actually seen birds crossing there for years - but for some reason it never clicked. I strongly recommend anybody who hasn't tried yet to look for flightline shooting. I haven't done so before last night and now realise I've been missing some great shooting with the bonus of needing very little gear.
