Greylag from the last day of the season

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have just been looking through the photos on my phone and i came across this one, to be honest i didn't think it was a very good photo until i loaded it on the computer.

It was taken off the Severn on the last morning of the season when there was a 10.7 metre Bore tide. We were shooting on the edge of a large tidal pill that was about 25 feet deep, but empty of water but when the tide turned it flooded in about 30 mins. I have never seen the river carrying that much water and we had to be pretty sharp to keep jumping the tideline.

After we had been pushed above MHW we stayed and drank coffee and watched the river just amazed at the power of it :good:
