what would you suggest ? any help or advice welcome

Not 100% but it sounds like your full choke has a dodgy thread take it back to where you got it. What gun is it?

Take the whole lot back. Sounds like the guns ok and it's just a problem with the full choke its self. Show them how the other chokes go in fine and the full won't. Don't let them try to force the full one to fit. If the thread is dodgy they may get it to fit. But you'll be sent you on your way with a damaged barrel.
