Well I've had mine since they were launched and I've had zero issues.
  2. Sound pricy TBH. You can get a new Hatsan or Armsan for that brand new with a warranty.
  3. This should only work on oiled rather than varnished wood but its worked on both for me. I use an electric soldering iron and a folded sheet of kitchen paper. Heat up the iron. Fold up the kitchen paper to make a wad. Wet the wad and place it over the dent. push the tip of the soldering iron edge on over the dent and let it hiss and fizz for 20 sec or so. Keep lifting and checking the dent and moving the wad around so that the paper above the dent is always wet. What you are doing is forcing hot steam into the wood under the dent. This makes it swell & the dent 'should' disappear or at least reduce. As I said it shouldn't work on varnish as it would block the steam but it has for me (perhaps because the varnish was damaged?) Have a go. If you keep wet paper, or cloth, between the hot iron and the wood you shouldn't damage anything. it will either work or it won't.
  4. I bought some Goodyear Stream wellies. Still early days but seem very well made and they are certainly comfortable.
  5. Random, unannounced visit. Hence my warning. How you deal with it when (if) they knock on the door is up to you.
  6. I did but I had stopped to feed the dog so I wasn't working on them 'at that moment'. No real issue, he was just making a point. Wasn't a bad time so had no issue letting him in. If I had been on my way out or something he'd have to have come back.
  7. Not seen Kent mentioned in the other 'Visit' thread. So, just be aware the firearms officer turned up here yesterday evening. He say's that they will be doing a lot of these visits and asked me to tell my mates as they weren't looking to stitch people up but would have to react to obvious problems. I got a mild ####ing because one of mine was out of the cabinet. (in bits with the barrels hidden away) as I was re-waxing the wood work, giving the action a really thorough cleaning and was then going to strip out the ejectors to clean them as I've not done it for over a year. Bit's not being worked on 'at that moment' should be kept locked away. You have been warned
  8. Had one for a couple of year. Got the seven gun one so had a bit more room for my 4 shotties. Seems well made. No issues with the locks or anything so far.
  9. As in all professions there will be good and bad. If you think you've been 'had' then vote with your feet. There was some hidden camera stuff on one of the consumer programmes last year which was VERY disturbing. It was filmed in one of the multiple franchise outlets. I have always been well served by my vets through several name changes as the senior vet retired and sold up over the past 30 or so years. 3 years or so ago a small cat started following us when I was walking the dog. This went on for a few days with her coming closer and closer to the house & ended up with her inviting herself to stay. Time came for her booster & the vets at Pets at Home were doing a deal so I went there instead fully expecting a hard sell. The vet checked her over and said she had some rotten teeth which really needed to come out. Yeah right! was my first reaction but he showed me how loose they were. Cost was estimated at £220 'unless they found other problems. Well, if you take on an animal you have to accept responsibility so I said go ahead. When I collected her the bill was........................£170! they had had to take more out but it had gone smoothly so the bill was lower than expected! It goes to prove that you can't just assume people are out to fleece you. As has been said the cost of modern medicine and practice overheads must be eye watering!
  10. PHSQEUROPE.COM I got my chokes from them last year. Pete
  11. Why did you change? I'd convinced myself that they were too open. Now I'm not sure if that's true but I have been hitting more since. Fact! Ps The Black edition looks nice. Maybe I'll take a black Sharpie to my S1
  12. How much delivered? My Brileys worked out at £50 each
  13. A cloud pothole is what got me over Nam!
  14. Not tripped since I stripped the old pond pump wire and socket out. Thanks for the help and advice. Much appreciated. Peter
  15. I think that makes it a 1979 gun. I'm sure someone will confirm.
  16. No its not been stripped out just turned off and the wire cut at the wall! Never bothered to check it & we've been here since 96!
  17. The board is an MK Memera 21 from mid 80's AFIK. No out side lights or sockets, at least not on that circuit but there is an old fused spur that used to run a pond pump. That's linked to a socked but I think it's been stripped out. I'll check.
  18. Way down in Kent. I will ask my neighbour, who's an electrician, to have a look. just trying to narrow the cause down first if possible to save him some time.
  19. Not a combi just a standard boiler boiler. We have unplugged everything on a room by room basis, inc the boiler. The problem is it only happens now and again. We went 24 hours without a problem then it happened three times in a day but with different intervals. No rhyme or reason to it.
  20. I believe the issue with diesels on short trips is to do with the turbo rather than the DPF. It will knacker the bearings & seals apparently. found this out after buying a low mileage diesel & having to call out the AA when it went 2 months later. Can't recall the exact reason but he said it always happens to low mileage diesels.
  21. Over the last few days the 32 amp breaker that shields the wall sockets has tripped a few times. The lighting one goes whenever a bulb blows but I can't find anything wrong with anything that's plugged in. I have taken all the plugs out and plugged things in one at a time without finding a problem and run the fridge and freezer off an extension lead from the oven circuit but that's not revealed a problem. It can go a day without a problem or can go twice in 20 min. Everything comes back on when you re set it. Could it be a faulty breaker? I was thinking of swapping over the one that keeps tripping for the 32 amp oven one to see if the fault moves with it. Any other things I can try or check?
  22. Try phsqeurope.com for briley chokes. Try phsqeurope.com for briley chokes. Try phsqeurope.com for briley chokes. Not sure why that happened?! Not sure why that happened?!
