mick54dog Posted June 10, 2011 Report Share Posted June 10, 2011 The Rabbit population were becoming a problem on some farmland that a pal and i shoot over, so on Saturday we paid the little beggers a visit which 56 of them didnt enjoy! arrived on site at 5.15am, and went our seperate ways, my mate was shooting around the general area of the farmhouse and would shoot Rabbits of any size, hopefully the farmer would notice the drop in numbers around his home. i went onto the dale tops where i would shoot bunnies of eatable/saleable size only. the sun was blazing down by 8am, and i was struggling, sweat was pi**ing out of me, and there didnt seem to be many biguns about, hunderds (and i do mean hundreds) of little ones, but the mums and dads were in short supply. we met up at 9.30 as aggreed, my pal was grinning from ear to ear......the lucky sod had shot a bonus fox cub! joint total was 30 rabbits , 2 jackdaws and the fox cub. later that day after a shower and a good meal, i had a bit of a senior moment and suggested that it might be an idea to go back to the farm and do it all again that evening.......so we did! and shot another 26 bunnies! a great day was had by the two of us, and maybe the farmer will be happy for a while. enjoy the pictures, cheers Mick Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
