game_keeper
Hi there all! I have now got some new shooting ground(YAY ) but i have a problem. The place i shoot is basically field for cattle and horses to graze in. So all the ground is grass land. The farm is surrounded by crop fields though. There are quite a few pigeons about, but how can i pinch them as they seem to stay "over the fence"? any help appreicated. Many thanks Rob
iamspartacus
your best bet is to check out the flight lines theyre using. If they fly to the feed fields over the top of your land then your onto a winner, get yourself hidden away underneath the flight line and pick em off! The other thing to try is look to see if any sitty trees border the crop fields and your land, get some lofters up and wait for them to come in. Don't think you'll have much luck gettin the pigeons to come in to decoys over grass! though if there's any clover growing they will feed on that.
