caeser
How things can change in a week. Struggled last week to get any decent numbers due to the stunted wheat. A few days of rain changed everything. The wheatears are now a lot fatter and juicier, and the pigeon want it. No flattened patches, they just fed in the tramlines. My usual shooting partner couldn't make it at short notice, but I managed to get Brian28 from the forum to tag along with me to share the fuel costs. We had an enjoyable day, shooting 88 between us, then I ran out of cartridges. Couldn't be bothered walking back to the truck for more shells, so I decided to start cleaning some birds for the pot. Hayfever was driving me nuts. Didn't want to disturb any more pollen in the long grass along the edges of the fields. I hope Brian28 enjoyed it, I know I did. But then I always do, whether I shoot 100 or just 2 birds.
tycoon01
Sounds like a good day shooting apart from the hayfever and good on you for sharing with a fellow member.
