Mightymariner
Had another day on the pea stubbles today, a different field as the one last week didn't have many on it and someone shot it yesterday. Mind you, the field I went to had 200+ shot on it on Saturday so I was a bit concerned. To be fair the birds were quite wary, I think I must have set up in the same spot as whoever shot the big bag on Sat, as they took some convincing to come in to the decoys. Still, managed 30 plus a couple lost in some wheat behind me. I was happy, and shot most of them between 5-7.30pm - sometimes they seem suicidal later on as they want to get one last feed in before roosting. Mightymariner
I didn't set up till Noon but there are plenty on stubbles still, and some more peas to harvest aswell. Seen some on linseed this week. I always think I've had a good day with 20-30ish, then when I mention it to the keeper he trumps it with a massive bag!
