Alpha Mule
I had my FEO visit this morning. I had a mad scramble to fit a new safe (for ammo) and some better security on the ground floor windows. I was expecting it to take a lot more time than it did - so I was left sitting twiddling my thumbs for a while. As far as I'm concerned the interview was much less traumatic than I was expecting. No trick questions or trying to stump me - which was nice. It turns out one of my permissions has already been assessed, so the licence can go ahead straight away. However: he said he would probably call for me to walk some of the other places I have, if they haven't been done already. He didn't realise that I have a few places - even though it was all detailed on a seperate sheet. I provided him with maps detailing the boundaries of the permissions, but he was still keen to get me out to show him myself. Has anyone else been asked to do this? I haven't heard of it before. I managed to scrounge a few more fields from one of my farmers very recently, so I walked it with my phone recording the perimeter (GPS on phones is brilliant!) and printed it off. So after my FEO left I went round to get the farmer's OK on the area I thought was my new limit. The ****** only went and gave me even more!
