wattsowatts
I was wondering how others were experiencing pigeon numbers in the South West. I shoot around the Frome, Maiden Bradley, Stourhead areas and there seems to be a distinct lack of birds. I was out on one of my permissions last night, a place where pigeons have been guaranteed for years but there were none – this was over fields of cut rape and wheat. The most I have had in one outing this year so far is 9, last year my smallest bag was 36 with my largest bag being 148. Driving to Southampton this evening again the fields looked devoid of birds. Where are they all, is anyone having any luck.

adam f
Pretty quiet here in Dorset - Ive had a couple of 20+ bags over early cut Barley and then another 20 odd over cut rape on Weds, but went out today and hardly saw one... roll on the wheat harvest.
