wifiUK
I've booked my lesson with Horne Clay Pigeon Club, Clay & County Sports UK in Caterham, Surrey. I'm really looking forward to taking lessons rather than just "have a go" days. I think i can enjoy this hobby

Bad Monkey
Welcome from another newbie I started out abit like yourself last year, had a few 'have a go' lessons with BASC at some game fairs and was hooked. R.E. O/U vs SxS, as with many things it's personal preference, but as a general guide SxS tend to be a little bit lighter and as such they don't tend to absorb as much recoil, i.e they can kick more. Some folk consider them more suited to game or rough shooting where you're likely to be carrying the gun more and firing fewer cartridges. From personal experience i also find that depending on the type of sight rib they can sometimes obscure the sight of the clay. O/U tend to be a little heavier, absorb a bit more recoil (less kick) and some folk prefer them for clay shooting where you're likely firing more cartridges. Definately not a definitive guide but hope it helps. Good luck, have fun and shoot safe
