I have bought a few canada geese sillosocks, feeders and sentries.

Now i know it's probably a stupid question  ,but the metal spike that comes with it,is it simply forced through the corrugated cardboard(in the top of the head and out the chin) with the u part of the spike at the top,as that is the only thing i can see working.

And also if this is the method,do you glue the spike in place,or leave it so you can slide the decoy up and down.

Cheers in advance.

No idea mate, I´ve never used them, but would be interested to hear the options, and if they work or not :good:

The pigeon silo-socks work in a fashion...there has to be a stiff breeze to open them up properly.to be honest,i dont use them anymore.....There should be a hole at the bottom, toward the front of the decoy,so it can swing around the pole to always face into the wind...are the geese 1's made from the same grey corrugated stuff???

There are lots of holes where the corrugated inner in the cardboard is,but because of the way it it has been cut the holes all slope at about 45 degrees to the perpendicular,i have tried one by ramming the spike straight through and it seems to be ok,and i will have to glue it in place, can't say i would rush out to get the pigeon ones.

Thanks for the advice :good:
