adam f
Decided to add a rotary / magnet to my bouncers and shells. Been looking on good old eBay but I'm confused! I can pay anything from £55 to £100 for a new one? What is the difference? What do you guys recommend getting?
JustJon
Depends what you want it for, you may want to look at the site sponsor as they do packages - would include wing spreaders, battery, charger, speed controller potentially? Do you want to use dead birds, decoys or potentially both ? Have you got batteries lying around for it? (and charger) How much do you want to spend? Thins like height alterations, speed alterations, bags to carry them in - I think some of its more about catching the eye of the buyer rather than the bird but some features will prove useful. The cheaper ones will be based on windscreen wiper motors and will eat batteries, the more expensive will be direct drive motors and use a lot less battery power, and be lighter too !! You pays yer money and takes yer choice
adam f
Ok, so I have batteries, can easily rig up a speed control, don't want it in a bag etc I really want to use it with dead birds but have some bouncer decoys, that I could use sometimes? So basically I just want a rotarybut I don't want to buy cheap if it won't last. It will get used about 30 times a year.

paddywack12
Nothing wrong with the pro-motion from UK Shootwarehuse
adam f
Thanks. So I wont be spending £2-300, so looking at the ones at UK Shoot Warehouse. What's the difference between then standard rotary at £65 and the Pro Motion at £85?
JustJon
The pro motion can have the height and length of the arms adjusted - not sure if the standard can. After that it'll be down to motor specs and battery drain - too technical for me
