Guinea Fowl
Hi guys. It's time to get our puppy, I am looking for a English springer spaniel bitch ideally in liver & white. As I don't have a lot of experience in different breeds I thought I'll ask for some pointers. I am unlikely to use it as a gun dog as I have a lot of other commitments/activities but still want a decent dog, I will most likely train it for trails to keep the dog happy and occupied but wont be competing professionally. Does anyone know of any good and honest breeders in the North West or North Wales area that you can recommend and what sort of breed/lines do I need to look for. I am not after the most expensive dog with more letters behind it's name than there is in the alphabet but just a good working dog, I know it's all in the training but having a fairly decent breed to start with does go some way. Cheers.

WGD
No offence meant but I have absolutely no idea what you are looking for... not a gundog but trained for trials?? Perhaps you should research what you want from the dog before buying one. A dog bred for trials is born to work, to buy one when you have too many other commitments to fulfil to enable you to take the dog shooting is not the way forward. Yeah I agree would you not be better getting a young dog from a rescue if all you really want is a companion then it would be ideal and a damn sight cheaper to.....
