mad1
Evening all.can I start this post by saying thank you to stu.it all started about a week ago when I was invited to his new permission to help clear some rabbits I was told the land was infested ! He was not wrong..... We set of from his at about 7 pm for a hour drive to the farm. No sooner we turned into the farm the ground came alive :o Yes the farmer had a problem a BIG problem By now it was starting to get dark so we set out with lights and guns and plenty of hope.luckily we had the 2 sons with us so they ended up carrying the game bags Into the first field about 5 mins later there was at least 10 rabbits shot some with mixi but a few good ones. Well the rest of the night was going the same way each field gave a good number we also found plenty of active warrens ( we will sort another day for them with the ferrets) so between us using a .22 rimmy and stu's sons 22 air rifle we brought back 10 or so good big healthy rabbits with about 30 to 40 we got too but they were starting to show the first signs of mixi so they were disposed off . A very enjoyable evening out with some good company it was really enjoyed by my self and Connor my son many thanks to stu and Nathan for putting up with me squealing like like a girl when I saw the first field many many thanks . By the time we got back home it was 3am .m1 sorry for no pictures guess who forgot the camera Edited September 24, 2011 by mad1
