They are labled as 3XL I was a 38" waist and wore these with a belt and they were fine. I would say they are a 40" waist. I can vouch for the fact that the goretex does its job as the last time I wore these i was caught in heavy rain and my legs were the only part of me that stayed DRY!! they are a soft touch material that is very quiet, usefull when stalking rabbits etc. They have one cargo pocket on each leg and a zipped rear pocket. As shown in the photos there is a 15mm snag in the crotch (damn barbed wire!!!) this could easily be repaired and I have reflected this in the asking price.
