Winterwolf
Hi all, Maybe a daft question ... But Im currently looking for a Lanber sporting 12g o/u as from what ive read there a good starting gun for the new starter. Im looking at a couple of adverts at the minute, and found 1 seller who is selling a sporting deluxe (& a field out of curiosity) .. And just realised that even if they gave me the field by accident I wouldn't even know the difference :( Any pointers out there for the uninitiated? Me being an awkward lefty as well, means that when I find the right one I want to make sure what im looking for. Any advice or links etc most welcome Cheers Fin. Rushjob
IIRC, field has auto safety and sporting has manual. HTH
semiautolee
sporters have a wider rib than the fields aswell

COACH
The best Lanber Sporters are the ones with plain actions but the name Lanber in gold on the side. They handle better than any of the others but all are good value for money.
Winterwolf
Thanks for the advice all. Picked up a Lanber Sporting 30 O/U " M/C With Ejectors yesterday from York guns (bit of a hike down from Newcastle, but had nothing on). Got the gun, slip, cleaning kit, some shells, spare choke and key all for £340 so am well happy. Considering York guns has a fair few guns over 50K they were spot on considering I bought the cheapest gun in the shop and still haggled for things Next gun I get, would probably go back just because of the service! Now just need to shoot the fecka
