chris t
I have some activity on wheat where I drilled it after beans. The pigeons have been cleaning up the beans left by the combine, but they seem to be about done now on that job and are elsewhere. Pigeons won't really eat wheat plants, wheat seed left on the field by the combine, yes. If there is no pigeon activity on the field, personally I wouldn't bother. Look for where they are and decoy them there. Edit: I suppose if there is a flight line over the field in question, you can sometimes try with a few decoys on the flightline and they may fly close to them for a look. You can then get a bit of shooting that way... Will be a bit hit and miss, so to speak though. Edited November 25, 2011 by chris t
