  1. AL391 very low recoil, great gun, perhaps not the easiest to clean. I like the kick off recoil pad myself. A400 is the new version on the block. Not tried myself, but just looks like a slightly updated AL391 different piston. Suppose to be good. Liking the new fabarm I've bought recently though, maybe slightly more recoil. But very easy to clean and simple to replace bits.
  2. Are you roost shooting, or out in the fields? I normally like windy days for roost shooting, because if you position yourself well, they will land into the wind and slow a far bit and tend to fly lower to avoid the worst of the wind as they think about landing in a tree. If roost shooting, you must try and position to allow shots as they land into the wind.
  3. on my AL391, which is a similar setup. ie gas piston, relief valve etc. I normally clean the gas piston after every outing. I do this while the barrel cleaner is soaking in. Just use baby wipes to clean the gas piston. If it's stuck on carbon, then I use a phorphor bronze brush to loosen the carbon first. clean the stem that the piston runs on. Don't oil these. Then maybe a few times a year undo the relief valve spring and clean all the associated bits. Also after every 3 or 4 outings take out the bolt and clean and lubricate a little to allow it to move smoothly when cycling. Occisonally remove trigger group and blow out with compressed air and lubricate a little. These last few things are more important if it's been raining a lot and the whole thing has got soaked. Hope that helps.

    Mice

OK, hadn't thought of that one. Will do that from now on.
  5. I'm sure the police have much better/more important things to do than try and enforce this. There are people out there robbing murdering beating people up hurting children etc etc. if this is more important than sorting those other things out then.... well.... I'm lost for words.

    Mice

so what about flies stuck on a fly strip buzzing away for hours... Is this also to be banned as cruel. Better get those fly strips banned from the shops then
  7. I know what you're going through... Sometimes I've had better luck telling my ISP that the broadband is broken and that the line is noisey, and they get the BT engineer to come. However this only works if your dealing with an easy to talk to ISP. It's like any very large company these days, money/profit first, choas etc 2nd, customer satisfaction last. Good luck

    Mice

let them eat the bait and die slowly from bleeding to death internally....

    Mice

in the farm grain store I had a bad infestation. Used bait, which they ate and wouldn't die. Spring traps are OK, but once spring max 1 mouse caught. I actually used a live mice catcher in the end. Caught about 6 - 7 in one sitting. Then put the trap in a bucket of water for a minute or so. Reset and carry on... Caught loads and loads doing this method.

    WiFi help needed

if it's using the default wifi pre-shared key, then that is often typed on the bottom of the box (ie bottom of router) but not always.

there is normally a method to do a full reset of the router. Returning everything to the defaults. A button or the like (maybe using a paperclip) This maybe necessary if you can't remember the passes. However you will probably have to re-enter the username and pass of the broadband connection, so have that ready first. What make and model router is it?
  12. I rarely do any clays, maybe once every couple of years. I'm next to useless at them. But do quite a bit of pigeon shooting, decoying and roosting. I shoot WAY better at pigeons than clays. No idea why. Could be that I just never really do clays. So you might surprise yourself at pigeons. You generally have a lot less time to think about the shot with pigeons. So you just swing (lots if high) and fire.
  13. I tried one on my urika 2, didn't like it. the sight is too big. Removed it and think i probably shoot better with the standard bead.
  14. I've used the PL32g fibre 5s, very dirty (lots of cleaning time after required). But did not get on well with them. Don't forget 5s of these are 4.5 uk shot size I think. Will not be using any fiocchis again. Rios 6s are far better IMHO.
