PotHunter96
there is a fair sized dam on the neighbouring farm which the ducks that rest on the river on our property use as a night time feeding ground and earlier in the year there were a pair of canada geese which kept flying over to the dam and they nested but then they dissapeared around early september at the moment we are unable to obtain permission to shoot on the dam i was wondering if in the morning flight i used decoys and a call i could call the geese and using decoys get them in range however the only fields we have are grass would this work but also..next year we are hopefully digging a pond in the bottom of the valley it wont be very large and i was hopeing to use it as a flight pond(i have a seperate thread about this pond) but i was wondering could i place canada geese decoys around the pond as i think that the geese use the valley as a flightline as this is were we spot most geese that are flying over. or does anyone have any other suggestions, id really like to shoot my first goose!
