MG6065
Hi I went out for a shoot earlier, I camo'd up , got my shotgun and off I went , I decided Instead of walking around like I usually do 'attempting' to shoot what I see I chose to sit in the hedge fully concealed and wait for the light to go and for the rabbits to come to me. I was wrapped up lovely and warm with everything covered , even my camo head net I have for decoying made an appearance. I kept very quiet and still as to be totally unnoticed, I'd been waiting for about 45 minutes saw a few rabbits in the distance but chose to leave them for more to come out within range.. 2 big rabbits started to come our to feed about 30 yards away, as I took the safety off and Rose the gun to release some lead the farmers wife appeared from a near gate way , the rabbits thought better of it and jumped back into the hedge, the farmers wife walked right up the hedge I had been watching and waiting only to come within 50 yards of me and start spliting some small logs for the fire i stood up and said hello making her jump something terrible ha! Knowing all my patients and potential shooting had gone I unloaded the gun and went and had a chat, I helped her split some up and carried them into the shed for her beingthe fine young gentleman I am BLOODY TYPICAL ! Vermincinerator
MG, Get yourself a 17HMR, that way you wont need to conceal yourself as you will still be within range at 130yds away. Rabbits wont be spooked at that range and present good sport Ian.
