Blunderbuss Posted January 14, 2012 Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 Not my idea, I read it on here somewhere a while ago, but tried it for the first time today. A spent 20 bore cartridge with the primer punched out makes an acceptable bore guide for a .17 HMR CZ (presumably a .22 as well). It's a nice snug fit in the bolt way, if you squeeze the trigger as you insert it, like you do when fitting the bolt. The sear then holds it nicely in place.
