Matt Gould Posted January 24, 2012 Report Share Posted January 24, 2012 hello i have got a mossberg 500 pump in 20g its attuley the hushpower modle it sais on the barrel 2 3/4 and 3" chambered but i have been using 2 1/2" shells in it. is it okay to do this ?? bedwards1966 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Share Posted January 24, 2012 It's perfectly safe to use cartridges in guns that are shorter than the stated length on the gun, that length is the MAXIMUM allowed, anything shorter is fine.
