Mixed bag roost shooting

Set out saturday to go up our syndicate to do a spot of roost shooting. Bright sun and no wind made me think it would be poor but I was proved wrong. I managed to shoot two squirrels on my way to my usual place, and squeaked in a jay that I shot and dropped into thick cover, and then settled on the edge of the wood for the fun to begin. After I while I started calling with the Sam Neyt corvid call and soon had a carrion crow coming in to see what all the fuss was about, to be dropped with a single shot. A few minutes later another one joined his mate as he came into the call. I spotted another squirrel out the corner of my eye and he went into the bag too. The odd pigeon was floating about well up, not offering a shot. I took a sky high jackdaw which I was pleased to bits with, then I gave the calling a rest, and started to get a pigeon or too as the other guns in the surrounding area started shooting. In a lull, I had another call and heard a magpie respond. I kept calling harshly, like a crow in a fight, and a magpie floated over to be killed first shot and get lodged in the tree. A few seconds later, another appeared and a double shot dropped him into a thick holly. As it grew dark, I had another two squirrels and ended up with seven pigeons, all stuffed with ivy berries, 5 squirrels, 2 crows, 2 magpies, a jay and a jackdaw. Dad was in a nearby copse and managed 11 pigeons, a crow and a jackdaw.

Heres a photo and me with the bag I picked up before I went and got the dog.
