24joy
yesterday went up to try out my new rabbit shoot. 2 hours, 2 for the freezer, and left the half dozen little ones be, and had a good recky. Next to the shoot, is a large apple orchard, which I have always thought of as a cracking place to get a shoot, but with no luck. Have always seen the bunnies in the orchard, and dreamed how good it would be. Anyway, the one-acre I have just got permission on is almost like a well-kept allotment. Some old falling down sheds on the edges of the shoot, which on inspection is one of the biggest warren I have seen. Nearly covers a sixth of the acre. It would appear that this is where all the rabbits are coming from that are in the orchard, and are on my new shoot, o happy days. Now the guy that owns the orchard has just given permission for me to drive across his land to get to them from his side, so don't even have to get out the land rover, how cool is that. Well only to pick up the deadens. This has taken some time to come by and is very treasured by me, but take hart all those still trying to get your own shot, stick with it. Thanks to the friends who have kept me going with the rat shoots and all, you know who you are. Bob
