Magpul grip on stalking/foxing rifle

Recently I saw a Steyr with a magpul foreend grip, advertised on the Holts website.

I have now started to think whether or not if that would be beneficial for taking standing/kneeling shots when out lamping on my own, as I could also put a rail on the side for the lamp to go. Does anyone think this would be practical or just unnecessary and make the rifle look ridiculous?

The only downside I can think of is the additional weight at the end of the rifle.
